What to Expect
1. Consultation & Skin Assessment
We begin with a thorough consultation to assess your skin lesion and determine if FreezPen is the best treatment option. FreezPen is safe for most areas of the body but is not recommended for suspicious or malignant lesions. Photos of the lesions will be taken to document progress and wound healing.
2. The Treatment
The targeted lesion is exposed to a controlled burst of nitrous oxide, which freezes and destroys abnormal tissue while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.
The procedure is quick (seconds per lesion) and typically well-tolerated, with a mild stinging or tingling sensation during freezing.
Larger or stubborn lesions may require a second treatment after 2–4 weeks.
3. Post-Treatment Care
After treatment, you may experience mild redness, swelling, or blistering, which is a normal part of the healing process. To ensure the best results:
Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the treated area to prevent scarring.
A scab or crust will form within a few days and naturally fall off over the next 1–2 weeks(longer for larger lesions).
Keep the area clean and dry, and apply a gentle moisturizer or petroleum jelly such as Vaseline or Aquaphor to aid healing.
Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 30+ on the treated area to prevent pigmentation changes.
Results & Longevity
Once healed, the skin will appear smoother and clearer.
Some lesions may require additional sessions for complete removal.
Skin tone may temporarily appear lighter or darker but typically normalizes over time
