Microneedling - The SkinPen
Updated: Jun 28
SkinPen is an automated, non-surgical microneedling technology device designed for use by licensed healthcare practitioners. This treatment uses Collagen Induction Therapy to treat melasma, acne and surgical scars, neck wrinkles for smoother, more radiant and youthful skin.
Why use it?
SkinPen is clinically proven to fight the appearance of neck wrinkles and reduce the appearance of acne scars. In fact, 90% of subjects in the clinical trials would recommend the treatment to friends and family and 80% found a difference in their skin quality after one treatment. This minimally invasive procedure is performed in-office, in 30 minutes with little to no down time.
How does it work?
SkinPen creates hundreds to thousands or “micro” skin punctures per second to stimulate skin’s natural wound healing process- inflammation, proliferation and remodeling- to prompt tissue remodeling without causing scar tissue formation. Most patients can return to normal activities within 24 hours.
Will it work for me?
SkinPen has been clinically proven to be effective for people with all skin types and of all colors. Unlike lasers that can damage skin over the long term, SkinPen treatments, when spaced appropriately, can be used for year
Is it safe?
Yes, its single-use, sterile needle cartridges are built with safety in mind. It is the first FDA and Health Canada approved microneedling device.
Who should not use it?
